Quinn Ginetta GT5 Challenge update

GotBoost Racing travelled to Belgium for rounds 11 & 12 of the Ginetta GT5 Challenge at the legendary Grand Prix circuit Spa Francorchamps.

Warm, humid and overcast conditions predominated in the Ardennes for the late-afternoon qualifying session, which saw Morgan Quinn drop from second in the early stages to a disappointing 20th place.

Saturday’s race was curtailed by a three-car incident on lap two at the Fagnes chicane which meant the safety car had to be deployed to allow a safe recovery, Quinn finishing in 14th place.

Round 12 followed a similar format when at the end of lap two the safety car came out due to a four-car incident at Turn 15. Once racing resumed Morgan had gained several places and was 11th on the road by the time the chequered flag flew at the end of lap seven. The Clark of the course were busy after the race with a number of incidents to review, Morgan had to answer for contact with another car costing him 15 championship points.

The next rounds are part of the BTCC package at Knockhill on 25 & 26th August look out for car #12 on ITV4.
