Silverstone tests the GotBoost team

In qualifying, Jonny Hadfield celebrated his first-ever pole position start thanks to a 2:27.486s lap. He pipped Matt Chapman to the post by less than half a second, but it was even closer for third as AM driver Ian Robinson finished the session third overall.

The 1st race was punctuated by a short safety car period, but it was the usual suspects battling for the lead as the Hadfield brothers fought with Chapman, Flowers, Minshaw and Palmer. Although the pole sitter didn’t lead the entire race, he crossed the line to take the win, 1.254s over his closest rival. Matt Flowers climbed two spots from his grid spot to finish in second, but the man of the moment was undoubtedly Ollie Chadwick. He started in 39th place, but recovered to 14th after lap one and picked off a number of rivals with every tour to cross the line in an impressive third.
Robinson won the AM class, thanks largely to his third-place start with Glen Broster finishing 8th, 3rd in class just behind Minshaw who came home 7th.

The second of the weekend’s races ran in considerably damp conditions as the heavens opened above Silverstone. Thanks to his impressive result in race one, Chadwick made the most of his second-row start and sliced into the lead of the pack early on where he remained to the flag.
Taking the AM class win and his best finish ever was Glen Broster in 6th, just ahead of his teammate Jack Minsahw who struggled to 7th in the conditions.

The final race of the weekend was cut short as an epic thunderstorm arrived overhead, but the cars had enough time to plug in five laps before proceedings came to an early end. Flowers started from pole but it was fourth-placed Jack Minshaw who made the most of his P4 position as he led after lap one. Chadwick was on a charge though; he leapt from 10th to second over the course of the opening lap and took the lead from Minshaw on the second tour. The two leaders pulled well clear of the rest of the pack as the rain started to fall, and Flowers struggled to hold off Constable and Broster in the AM class.

As cars started to spin off the circuit throughout the pack, the officials took the call to bring the race to an early end as drivers struggled to keep their cars on the circuit. As such, it was yet another win for championship leader Chadwick whilst Jack Minshaw finished second his best-ever finish in the championship, achieved in difficult conditions proving the ability of GotBoost Racing to set up the cars for a variety of driving styles, & track conditions.
